Trinity's normal school hours are from 8:15 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. We also provide supervised before- and after-school care if needed. The Before School Program is from 7:15 a.m. - 8:10 a.m. The cost is $5 per day. The After School Program operates from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.(2:15 - 6:00 p.m. on early dismissal days), and includes a small snack for a cost of $15 per day. While we encourage quiet activities in the morning, the afternoon sessions include lots of games and provide an opportunity for the children to socialize in a supervised and relaxed atmosphere after school.
All the students in the Lower and Middle Schools wear a uniform that consists basically of khaki or navy blue shorts or slacks and white, hunter green or navy blue knit shirts worn tucked in, a plaid jumper or skirt for the girls, and a variety of school sweatshirts. Fridays are Trinity T-Shirt days where students may wear a Trinity T-Shirt or sweatshirt, past or current, instead of the normal uniform shirt. On Trinity T-Shirt days students must wear uniform pants or skirt. Every six weeks, the school has an out-of-uniform day. At all times, we request that student appearances be neat and clean.
Children in the Early Learning Center are not required to wear a uniform but rather wear regular clothing appropriate for their daily activities and the weather.
Curriculum
Trinity School has always believed in maximizing the educational potential of every student. The selection of curriculum and methods to achieve that goal is a priority. Children have an opportunity to be successful because they are taught the way they learn.
This individualized approach to instruction and learning occurs within an overall curricular scope and sequence based on solid educational standards and high expectations. The emphasis of our instruction is on raising the child to meet our high expectations. Rather than teaching to the “lowest common denominator”, we strive to raise all children to a place where each learner can successfully meet our standards and expectations. To this end, we use a variety of instructional methodologies, accommodations, and support resources
